A solidarity jazz concert at The ORBIT

South African platinum mine workers have been on strike for 4 months with no pay. The bosses and companies have been intransigent. We are living in a society where our CEO 's are the 3rd highest paid in the world.
Yet they don't have money to pay workers.
This strike represents more than a labour dispute. It is a fight against the incredible inequalities that exist in SA and more, the belief of those in power, that they can get away with such injustice.
This solidarity jazz event is being organised to express our support for the mineworkers and their families who have stood steadfast and taken a stand against social and economic injustice, and are struggling as a consequence of this decision.
Ultimately the outcome of this strike will effect us all.
Join us in a fundraising jazz solidarity concert at the Orbit in Braamfontein.
